Estate Planning – to ensure the appropriate succession of your wealth and assets.

Our practice is divided into three specialized areas. A first area is the estate planning practice. Using cutting edge techniques and sophisticated devices, we are able to craft individualized plans that allow for clients to not only achieve their tax and estate planning objectives, but also allow for ease of operation and continued use of funds.

The primary focus of the estate planning practice is in personal service to clients and begins by simply listening and reacting to the client’s needs. Every client has unique goals, ambitions and passions that drive their planning as no two plans are ever the same. By carefully listening to the clients, asking the right questions and following with the right answers, our firm has achieved a close rapport with its clientele.

Estate Administration – to facilitate the proper handling of your possessions and property after death.

The estate administration practice complements our firm’s increased emphasis on planning. There are a myriad of rules, procedures and responsibilities that need to be followed by an estate fiduciary that require legal assistance. This legal assistance must be knowledgeable and up to date on all of the latest facets of the law. It also requires a firm that is sensitive to the situation and can work with individuals who are often in a state of bereavement.

In the estate administration practice, our firm sees the estate not as an ending, but as a transition. As part of our services, we take steps to incorporate future planning opportunities for the beneficiaries. The current tax code is filled with chances for post mortem planning and elections that can serve to assist the surviving members of a family. Our law firm will strive to take advantage of every opportunity available. With our knowledge and experience in the estate administration field, we can assist our clientele with the transition as it occurs.

Transactional Practice – to help in accomplishing your lifetime goals and protecting your achievements.

The third facet of our firms’ practice is in the transactional field. The firm principal, Daniel I. Ward, has been a speaker for the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education on the operation, sale and formation of small business enterprises and has experience in the transactional practice of buying and selling businesses, real estate and other assets. As with the estate administration practice, this transactional work involves and element of planning, as opportunities exist whenever there is a change.
